innovative propulsion laboratory
The Innovative Propulsion Laboratory (IPL) is a student team from IPSA dedicated to designing liquid bipropellant rocket engines. We handle every stage of our projects, from defining engine specifications to dimensioning and validating designs through simulations, to finally conducting hotfire tests on a test bench of our own design. In collaboration with CNES and other partners, we explore various aspects of space propulsion by combining theory with practice. Our goal is to build our members' skills through experience gained from working together on innovative rocketry projects.
Together, let's propel the future !
Redwing
After the success of Arrax, we are now developing Redwing: a 7.6 kN LOX/isopropanol engine designed to achieve significantly higher efficiency and to use the fuel as a cooling fluid. Intended for testing at the Race2Space competition, this engine is the most ambitious project undertaken by the association to date.
