The Innovative Propulsion Laboratory (IPL) is a student team from IPSA dedicated to designing liquid bipropellant rocket engines. We handle every stage of our projects, from defining engine specifications to dimensioning and validating designs through simulations, to finally conducting hotfire tests on a test bench of our own design. In collaboration with CNES and other partners, we explore various aspects of space propulsion by combining theory with practice. Our goal is to build our members' skills through experience gained from working together on innovative rocketry projects.
Together, let's propel the future !
Arrax
To deepen our understanding of liquide bipropellant propulsion, we have launched the Arrax project. The aim is to design a 1 kN (225 lbf) LOX/ETH rocket engine and conduct hotfire tests on a test bench of our own design.
